Originally, my intention was to simply do a quick test run with my new Flip MIno HD while photographing some new flowers I found at the edge of my property near the street. Instead, I did this but added to it by showing a little bit of how I go about shooting when photographing flowers with my macro lens. Note that I am not using a tripod (I have two in addition to a wonderful monopod, but I like the freedom of shooting without these as I can shoot the unexpected such as insects, birds, and more. (ie:as was the case of the female threadtail damsel fly shown below
