This product will not work correctly with my Canon Vixia HF-100 HD camcorder in FXP (17Mbits/sec) mode which is the highest video quality mode for this camera. It will work in the lower quality modes, but not FXP. This memory is apparently Speed Class 2. Speed Class 4 or higher is needed to work at this bit rate.

The card works great.
When looking for a SD card make sure you get the right kind. SDHC is a Secure Digital High Capacity card if your equipment only reads Secure Digital it will not read the SDHC cards but if your equipment reads SDHC then it will read both.

I have not owned any other brand of SDHC cards, so it is impossible for me to make a transfer rate comparison, but what I do know is that this card works well. I bought it for my wife to use in her new Canon Elph, and it works seamlessly. Is it works, why would you buy a more expensive brand?

8GB holds a LOT of pictures! Formats easily and have had no problems storing pictures/data. Amazon pricing & shipping is competitive and fast.
