Pelican 0910-010-110 Secure Digital Memory Card Case

Great product, deserving of the full power of 5 stars. Some people gave it less than five, but the world is full of people (luckily the minority) who don’t really “understand.” Anyone giving this less than the full five stars are probably people that need the warning labels on toasters not to take them in the bath, the bigger buttons on crosswalks, and the is surprised and enlightened by advice like “don’t drink and drive,” or “stay in school.” I personally have put 8 SD cards in this like 1 reviewer says is near impossible. I also love the thickness as I took out one of the inserts and put in 4 SD cards and then had room for a SD card reader for my netbook when I traveled. I will look forward to using this again come fair or foul weather as it really is a great Card Holder than I would stake my travel pictures. So ticket to Angkor Wat $2,000, hotels $500, food on the trip, $400 and if you stayed in school you can add that to about $2,900…of memories I brought home in this… If you can’t add those numbers up, pull your car over, sober up and go back to school, you should have stayed there.

I purchased this item for my SD cards, it looks very nice and solid. However, I can’t fit not even one SD card in there, the cards just don’t fit. It appears to be a wrong design for SD cards. I even called the manufacturer (Pelican) and asked them for help. They just said they should fit! Try it again! I tried the mini SD cards and they fit fine but not SDs. Could someone please let me know if they have experienced the same problem and short of returning the damn thing, what I could do? It’s driving me crazy!

In the one I received, all the cutouts were customized for mini SD cards, not the regular-size cards. It was possible for me to use a razor blade and cut the hard rubber to make 2 regular size cards fit on each side, but there’s no way I could fit 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom, as pictured. And there are no restraints for the cards, they just sit in the rubber cut outs. It does appear to be bullet-proof, if a bit heavy.

The case is very sturdy, but this also means it is quite large, larger than I expected. For its size, you could expect that it could hold 16 SDHC memories, but it holds only 8. I believe that a case for SDHC chips does not need to be quite this robust.

The title says it all. The case hold 8 secure digitals and 16 mini’s all at the same time, but unfortunatly no micro’s. The micro’s fit inside the sd adapters that are like regular SD’s so no real need in my opinion so the case could hold 8 micros inside 8 sd adapters. Either way, this case is the best hands down. Comes with an extra rubber insert that is all flat and open so it could fit a solid state drive or some other small device or be customized to your liking. The inserts that hold the cards are durable rubber solid, rubber not pick and pluck foam but solid rubber about the same durometer as an eraser on the end of a pensil or even one of those pink erasers, perfect material to hold the cards and should last a very long time without deteriorating like foam would. No worries about anything in this case, it is the best, just find the best price and buy it.
