This is absolutely fantastic product. I was looking for a underwater digital camera in unticipation of snorkeling trip. After checking multiple models, it became apparent that i’d have to settle for a pretty mediocre picture quality in exchange for water proof. Then I turned my attention to different pouches and cases that could protect my existing digital camera, Casio Exilim Z4 (4 MP), that typically produces very good pictures. I found DiCaPac WP110, and bought it for $25 (compare to waterproof cameras at $130-360). Took it for a trip, and couldn’t be happier. It’s light weight, has a clear polycarbonate film in front of the camera lens, it’s body is made of very sturdy yet soft clear plastic which makes operating camera controls very easy. I took more than 400 underwater pictures in 6 days, most of them just stunning (clear plastic allowed for use of a flash whenever needed).

The pouch comes with a strap that is, in my opinion, useless. I instead used a sturdy rubber band around my wrist. Also, the camera tends to shift slightly inside the pouch. So, to avoid having a part of picture covered by the dark edges created by the lens cover, you’ll need to adjust the camera position from time to time. I did not test it at any significant depth, as I only snorkeled, not scuba dove.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a low cost high quality waterproof camera case.

The product works like it is supposed to. I took a small digital camera snorkeling with me and the water never stood a chance. The only downside to it was the fact that lens space. It would sneak its way into pictures if I didn’t adjust the case beforehand.

    It’s well worth the price.

  3. I bought this product to take some underwater pictures on a snorkeling trip. I used it with a canon SD450. This is my older camera. I didn’t want to risk my newer camera testing this product out for the first time. I am happy to say that it worked as advertised – which means it kept the water out and my camera dry and allowed me to take pictures with it underwater. A couple of things:

    1. I was in some choppy water and had a hard time seeing my camera’s screen underwater at times in order to compose my shots. Of course this has nothing to do with the product itself. What I guess I am trying to say is that, getting reasonable underwater pictures is not a simple matter of point and shoot. You will need the time to play around while you are down there. So get familiar with operating the controls of your camera through the plastic etc.

    2. The case will not fit your camera exactly unless you’ve really spent some time to position it in there exactly. If you just pop the camera in there it will tend to move around and it is very likely that the camera lens protector will crop your pictures unless you have it perfectly positioned.

All that said, I was happy that this product allowed me to get underwater pictures with my own digital camera. I got some decent pictures with it even though the Canon SD450 does not have an underwater mode. I look forward to trying it with my newer SD940IS which does have the underwater mode.

I had low expectations for this case and was mostly praying that my new camera wouldn’t get ruined. And this exceeded my expectations! Yay! Took it snorkeling in the Caribbean. It’s a bit annoying to get the camera into and out of the case. And it’s tricky to zoom through the plastic. But it works! Definitely better than spending $10+ on a disposable underwater camera.

The camera case worked like a charm. I was able to capture moments underwater while my daughter snorkled. I would definetly recommend.
