  2. For this specific topic, Fraser & Schewe have written the (so far) definitive work on the subject. Well written with good illustrations and examples.

  3. Although I’ve liked very much the Image Sharpening with Adobe Photoshop CS2, I found this book an excellent upgrade to the other one because it explains a lot of issues that weren’t clear enough in the previous edition. Jeff Schewe really did a very good job of expansion and complement of the Bruce Fraser’s book. Congratulations Jeff.

  4. Excellent book that removes a lot of the “trial and error” by giving an in-depth but still easily to grasp concept of the world of sharpening.

Especially good if you use differents medias, you will be able to keep much of the same “feel”.

Basically a must for the people who wants to know the what and why.

The most comprehensive source I’ve seen on sharpening. As a professional photographer, many aspects of this book will be useful in helping me produce better images. At times, the material seems to be over-the-top technical, but that’s probably just me. If I read a passage over 10 times or more, eventually it sinks in. Kudos to Fraser and Schewe for a job well done!
